Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Tattoo process :)

Thank you for booking your next piece of Art with Tattoo 665.

Here's what happens next with the design process. We ask that you send a detailed brief by email to info@tattoo665.com. The brief should include the below information :

  • Detailed description of the design along with any reference images to show style.
  • Placement on body and a photo of the area (especially if there are surrounding tattoos)
  • Rough size estimate in cms
  • Colour or Black & Grey

The brief is passed over to your artist who will contact you directly closer to your appointmemt and discuss any final details . Most consultations are done virtually, however you are most welcome to call into the studio to meet your artist and check out the space before hand.

When will my design be ready?

The designs are ready for the day of your appointment. Rest assured this still leaves time for any small changes to be made before the work begins on the day. Trust the process, you are in great hands.

Why Can't I see the design before the day?

It's common practice across the industry for artists not to share designs. A complex drawing can take many hours to design and can often still be in progress right up to the evening of your appointment. Some artists chose not to send their work to reduce the risk of copyright & designs being stolen.

Can you Tattoo a design that I bring in?

It depends on the design and it's origin. If it's something you or a friend have drawn, or a common pop culture figure we absolutely can. If it's a Tattoo that someone else has or from another Artists page, we will not copy the design. We can work with you on a custom design along a similar theme, but we will not copy another Artists work.

How much will it cost?

Rates vary between artist. Rates range from $150 / $250 per hour or $1000 / $1500 for a full day. Check with your artist before hand for a cost estimate.

Can I bring a friend with me?

We know it's nice to have emotional support when getting tattooed. We will always try to accomodate space for a friend. Check in with the studio a few days before your session and we can check if this is possible based on capacity limits.

How long will the Tattoo take to heal?

Healing process can vary on size of Tattoo, placement on body and whether it's colour or black and grey. It can take anywhere between 1 - 5 weeks to fully heal. We will talk you through the healing process specific to your tattoo on the day of your appointment. You can also purchase aftercare in-store which helps with the healing process.

Do you accept Card or Cash Only?

We do accept card payments in store, however some artists prefer cash payments where possible. It's best to check with your artist directly (especially for a big piece or a full day booking)
